I believe every people in this world have differences on what they like and what they want. As well as vacation, there also differences that we have to know. Because, if we know what type of vacation that we like, it will make you easily to decide where you want to go and how long you like to spend. But, it does not mean you can’t try the other type.
In this article, I like to categorize a type of vacations. I hope you’ll know easily your vacation type character.
1) Beach Vacations
People love the warm, soft sands of the tropics and with winters as long and chilly as they are, it's no wonder! And just when you think you can’t tolerate one more snowflake, you can escape from it all by booking beach vacation packages. Pack up your bathing suit and sunscreen, and head for the sun.
You don’t need winter to appreciate the joys of a beach vacation. People enjoy being at the beach and basking in the sun any time of year. With so many fabulous sun destinations to choose from, there is always someplace new to explore. They range from Cancun and its sizzling nightlife, to the tranquility of an off-the-beaten path in the Bahamas Islands.
You can spend your vacation lounging ocean side with a paperback novel in one hand and a frosty drink in the other, just listening to the lapping of the waves against the shore. Or opt for a schedule packed with all the things you love to do - from taking excursions, soaking up the local culture, shopping, sightseeing, and water sports - to learning a new skill; whether it’s Spanish lessons, dancing the tango, or cooking local cuisine. Every hot spot is as individual as you are, offering its own unique delights and just waiting to be discovered. The choice is all yours.
2) Honeymoons
Honeymoons are a wonderful way to a life of wedded bliss, but why have just one? Today’s couples are taking second, third and fourth honeymoons to celebrate their love in a meaningful way. It’s important to spend time away from the pressures of daily life to connect and to enjoy time with your spouse. It’s the memories you create from your honeymoon that gets you through the busy, stressful times. You think back to that beach in Bali. You and your beloved sitting on a blanket watching the sky change from blue to pink to purple as the sun slides slowly into the horizon. Those moments stay in your mind forever.
Honeymoon destinations are as unique as each couple’s own love story. For some couples, it’s the classic beach holiday that they dream of. For others, it’s a European vacation and tours of Italy, Portugal and Spain – destinations known throughout history for their romantic spirit. Or you may take this opportunity to go exotic and head to Bali, or see the world famous icon of love, the Taj Mahal in India. Celebrate your love in grand style no matter where you go. Each moment is destined to become a special memory.
3) Luxury vacations
It used to be that only tycoons and celebrities could afford luxury vacations. These days affordable luxury is the hot trend. There’s been a shift in the way we think about holidays. With our over-loaded schedules, we see them as a reward for working so hard. And who wouldn’t want to be pampered and indulged with fabulous service, elegant rooms, and exquisite dining? The travel industry has responded by offering luxury vacation packages that won’t break the bank; yet don’t sacrifice all the perks that we love – perhaps nightly turndown service, buttery soft bed linens, and plasma televisions. Your choices for luxury vacations are more abundant than ever, from a five-star resort in the Pacific to an eco-lodge in the rainforest that includes a plethora of fabulous activities.
A taste of the good life is extra sweet while on vacation. Those mundane chores, like grocery shopping and laundry, melt away when we feel relaxed and pampered. Luxury can take on many forms. It could be as simple as doing something extra special, like taking a hot air balloon ride over the vineyards of Bordeaux and or enjoying a hot stone massage; or as grand as buying a first-class ticket around the world. Indulgences come in all sizes, from small to large, and at all price points.
4) Adventure Vacations
Napping poolside is the pastime of choice for many people when they go on holidays, but for a growing number of travelers, it’s an adventure vacation that they seek. You can understand the attraction. It breaks us out of our comfort zone, challenges us to try something different and gives us great stories to tell when we get back home. Some people think of adventure vacations as something like rock climbing, hang gliding, or white water rafting, but they actually come in a wide range of options from mild to wild. An adventure vacation package could take you into the jungles of Belize to observe exotic wildlife, or it could mean hiking through the Andes Mountains, or the pastures of Switzerland. What sets adventure travel apart is action, slow or fast-paced.
5) City Breaks
There’s an energy that fills a city like no other. Even when you’re feeling weary, visiting a new city never fails to give you a burst of energy. With so much to do and to see, a city break feeds your soul with a mix of museums, shopping, theatre, great attractions and memorable meals.
No two cities are exactly the same. Each offers its own unique local culture, ready to be soaked up during your city stay. To pick the right urban retreat, ask yourself what kind of holiday you need. If you need to relax, choose a spot that is famous for its spas, such as Budapest, Palm Springs, Baden-Baden, or Bath. When it’s retail therapy that you crave, head to the local markets of Cairo, the mega outlet malls in Florida, or the chic boutiques of Paris. Consider a European city break and plunge into the excitement of a world-famous city like Berlin, London or Barcelona.
6) Family vacations
The importance of taking a family vacation has never been greater. With hectic lifestyles, parents and children have less time to put aside day-to-day life to just relax and enjoy being a family. The travel business worldwide has recognized how precious time together is so there are now more options than ever before, from a specially designed family resort to family vacation packages that make planning a trip easier and more convenient for time-stretched parents. Let’s go!
When is the last time you were able to watch your child at play, or read them a bedtime story, without thinking about how much laundry you had to do and whether you had bread for tomorrow’s school lunches? Probably too long ago.
A family vacation puts the focus on being together – sitting down to dinner all at the same time, creating new memories, and sharing the thrill of discovering something new. From hands-on learning to relaxing at sun-drenched family resorts in the Caribbean these destinations cater to the special needs of parents, tots and toddlers, teen and teens, grandparents, extended family and everyone in between.
